MEDICAL HEAT SHRINK PRODUCTS

One of our core competencies is in USP Class V1 and ISO 10993 Heat Shrinkable Tubing. We supply global medical device OEMs with products and components for use on Arthroscopic, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic devices. The principal application for these heat shrinkable tubing products is on mono-polar and bio-polar arthroscopic and laparoscopic electro-surgical devices, where it is used to provide electrical insulation, strain relief, and mechanical protection to both the medical device and more importantly, the human body.

We able to provide heat shrink tubing products in all formats:

  • Micro-bore (small internal diameter)
  • Sub-lite wall, (incredibly thin walled)
  • High temperature,
  • Flexible and semi-rigid
  • Dual wall (adhesive lined) contructions.
  • Radio-opaque
  • Tight tolerances on cut lengths and longitudinal change..

We are able to provide  extruded tubing solutions for these and countless other medical applications, in a wide range of materials including polyolefins, fluoropolymers, nylons and polyether block amides, PEBAX, PTFE, FEP and PEEK and PU.

All such materials are compatible with one or more of the following methods of sterilization which are commonly utilised in the medical market:

  • Autoclave
  • Gamma
  • Ethylene Oxide
  • Steam
  • Dry Heat

Another type of extruded tubes that we can offer is Multi-lumens.  The numerous lumens, or “passages” that can be designed into Multi-Lumen tubing, allow engineers to push the creative envelope and expand the capabilities of their products.  Multi-Lumen tubing is often used in demanding applications such as minimally invasive surgery, where the ultra-miniature lumens allow for multiple functions within a limited space.  Electronics engineers combine the insulating properties of fluoropolymers with the endless range of profiles and lumen configurations to create high-performance insulated delivery systems.  These custom manufactured, with numerous custom passages, tight tolerances in a number of compounds including, PTFE,FEP and Pebax.

The catheter market is another key area of focus for  Energy . Our Heat Shrinkable FEP can be used as an outer layer where it is used to compress and flow PEBAX into a braided sleeve during the heating process.

We can also supply PTFE liners to provide lubricity in applications such as stent delivery, along with PET or FEP heat shrink tubing as the outer layer covering Hypo Tubes .

Energy  Companies other core technical competencies include :

  • Wire and Cable Solutions.
  • Custom Connectors.
  • Identification & Labelling.
  • Precision Metal Stamping.
  • Clean Room Molding.

In short  Energy  Company are specialists in component supply and value added services across a broad range of electro-surgical and many other applications.would welcome an invitation to design a product programme that suits the needs of your business.
